One day, both ends of the island

Madeira has microclimates: when the north is cloudy, the south is often clear. Being a Sun Chaser means starting before dawn above the clouds and finishing at the island's western tip as the sun drops into the Atlantic.

Madeira

A small island the size of a continent

In a few kilometres you go from sea to plateau, vineyard to forest, sunshine to fog. That's why Madeira is best discovered slowly, without a fixed schedule.

A small company, made on the island

We're locals and we know Madeira road by road. We started with a classic camper and a jeep, and the idea of showing the island the way we show it to friends.

Questions? We're here

If you can't find the answer, just ask us.

Chat on WhatsApp
What licence do I need to drive the camper?

A standard car licence (category B). Minimum age and years of driving experience are listed on the Yescapa listing.

How do insurance and the deposit work?

Booking is handled by Yescapa, which includes insurance and roadside assistance. The deposit amount is shown on the listing.

Where can I stay overnight with the camper?

In Madeira, overnight stays are not allowed in protected areas and Natura 2000 sites outside authorised spots. Elsewhere there are time limits per municipality. We'll always point you to permitted places.

Do jeep tours include hotel pick-up?

Yes, we pick you up at your hotel or an agreed meeting point. Confirm the pick-up area when you send your request.

What's the difference between shared and private tours?

On a shared tour you share the jeep with other travellers. On a private tour the jeep is just for you, and you choose the pace and the stops.

What if the weather is bad?

The island's microclimates help: if one coast is closed in, we take you to the sunny side. If needed, we reschedule.
